Artist's Comments

The pure raw power of nature.

Luckily we get plenty of thunderstorms in the tropics :)

2 Multiplied layers to reduce the glare and bring out the detail in the forks.

Edit: Changed the border more suitable for print, and cropped to remove the glare of a streetlight below.

Gorgeous lightning, my only suggestion would be that you remove the glare of the streetlight at the center bottom (clone it black imho) - it distracts from the lightning above

Hope for the best, be prepared for the worst and all surprises will be pleasant

I never saw a thunder storm like that in real life, this is absolutely breathtaking. Are those the original colors ?

Impressive capture, love the colour :D

Thanks very much for the comments. I was wondering about the streetlight, it added an element of reality to the shot, so decided to leave it in. :)

Thanks. It took me the full duration of the storm and probably 300 shots to get a handfull of decent shots. Not an easy subject to cover :D
